so i went and had a new conti RA front put on and i did this on the places front sidewalk as im hardcore like that.
it took me an hour to figure out why the front wheel wouldnt go on right without the disk rubbing the forks.

i kept looking at it and i know i was mounting it right as the treads are directional and all.
so as i last resort i look at the wheel marking for the arrow and ill be damned it it isnt point backwards,as well as the tires arrow being backwards also.
so i flipped it around so both arrows faced the direction of travel, and WTF but the tread is backwards!?

so i ask a salesman and he says its on correct look at the arrows, and i say yeh but my rear doesnt have the tread reversed like that.
and his reply is "conti changed this recently on the front as they get more wear time out of them and just the same water drainage".

now im gonna research this on the net and see what i can find but now i have a bike who looks like a tard mounted his tires.

anyone else hear about this stuff?

anyhow i love the tires and have 2k on the rear and see little wear, just the writting is worn off.

Sounds like they just don't want to take it off and remount the right way.
Make 'em do it! Including R and R the wheel. It's their FU. :pissed:

No retards, or retreads for that matter. :P

Conti changed the direction fo the tire. There may be arrows on the tread that face the 'wrong' way. They apparently haven't changed the molds yet.

Pay attention to the directional arrows on the SIDEWALLS. They are correct. Ignore any other markings.

thanks for the info guys!
i did look at the first page of this section to see if this was mentioned but like a dumba33 i didnt search, sorry.

since both are correctly mounted im happy now.
but noone who sees this will believe me its actually mounted correctly.

i guess i should give props to "iron pony" in columbus ohio for actually being informed about this and doing it right.
