Powder Coating North Of Nyc

Hey guys

Winter's coming, and that means I can start altering my 5th gen. She's red right now, and while the wife and I debate the final color for the very slightly rashed fairings she came with, I'd like to powdercoat the frame. I really like the look of it on Toro1's Tangelo sweetness

Does anyone know someone reputable in the north-of-NYC area? I'd ride her down to the city if there was someone there, but Northern Westchester / Putnam / Orange / Rockland / Dutchess counties are more fun to ride to.

I'm still looking for someone to Rhino liner the cowls in color, although i'm hearing mixed reviews about fade resistance. I might just go with raw titanium color (like the Ninja) as I think it'll look nice with black accents.

Any recommendations for a reliable way to get a bit of powdercoat are extremely welcome. There's no way I'm going to even attempt to screw it up myself- i'll leave that to a pro!

I have an excellent results on powdercoating my shock spring (yes, I did have my rear shock spring powder coated orange for my Hawk) with this company: http://www.grandstanddesigns.com/. Pete, the owner tried extremely hard to match the color of my bike and he did really excellent job. The communication was perfect and the spring is flawless... it is actually not easy to powdercoat a spring...

You can remind him that I am the one who had the spring powdercoated to bright orange (he nailed that color amazingly - I think the spring looks better than the paint now) smile.gif I am sure it will make him happy that I liked his work.

at this point, i'm considering having the whole broken down and getting the frame, swingarm and all the little bits done in black powder. but it's not cheap to get a bike disassembled, and i'm not really sure if i want to have it taken apart. and i think if i proceed, it'll be the raw titanium color. that or i just buy a ninja in that color. it would be cheaper!
