Tank Pads

Does anyone know if Honda makes the heavy rubber stick on knee pads and nard pads for the VFR? I have a factory set on my ST1300 and really like the fit and quality.

Never seen Honda made knee pads for the VFR. I assume they go on the sides of the tank. CCM makes a whole bunch of different styles for BMWs. You might find BMW knee pads from that fit the VFR. Check out your nearest BMW dealer to find out. I think tank pads are shown on some accessory lists from Honda, but maybe not in the US. I have seen people use the big ST1100/1300 pads with good success. The do tend to look a big though.......I mean really BIG compared to the aftermarket stuff. The safer for your nutz, I guess! rolleyes.gif

I actually put a set of the ST1300 knee and tank pads on my VFR. Looks great! The
knee pads are the triangular shaped knee pads.

PS, the knee pads for the ST1300 Police Version are actually thicker I believe, but
more expensive.

I had the center pad from the ST1300 on mine.....fits great. Tinyminds used all 3 pieces from the ST1300 on his.......... fing02.gif

I tried stomp, but like Tech-Spec much better... looks better too. You can find them here. I reccomend the Snake Skin. I got the high fusion first time around and they gripped great, but riding in the winter made the peel. The snake skin does not do that and gives you about 1/4 inch of extra material... which makes for a better grip.

I put http://www.thetankslapper.biz/ on my tank last week and it seems to be working very well. My goal is to protect the tank finish from my stich because it's fairly abrasive. It's only about $16 and easy to mount. Don't buy the squeegee, watch the video and they tell you how to put some velcro on the edge of a credit card for installation, worked great.
