2002-2005 Recall Update

Hey Guys

I just got a call from my dealer who has been following up on our wiring harness recall. He was told by Honda America that the parts will be available at the end of Nov and we will be getting a second letter about mid Nov with more details on what is going to get replaced. He will be ordering the parts for me as soon as they are available I just hope the weather holds out here in NJ so I can get the bike too him

i was just at a local dealer (blackfootmotosports) still no word here in canada. no postings, no recall notices, and nothing has been mailed to owners or the dealership.

Why is my 2006 not included in the recall?

06 and 07 have different wiring harness.

Dear Honda Motorcycle Dealer,

RE: VFR800 Wire Harness Availability Update

We need to update you of the parts availability situation for the VFR800 Safety Recall Campaign. The parts to support this campaign will be available near the end of November.

We will begin allocating parts once our stock is replenished. Please explain to the customers that when parts become available, they will receive a letter from American Honda notifying them to make an appointment to bring their motorcycle in for repair.
