5th Gen Bodywork

Are all bodywork pieces interchangable on 5th gens? IE: 98 vs 2000? According to Service Honda fiche, the body parts carry the same part numbers whether it is a 98, 99 or 2000. Can anyone verify this?

Yes all 5th gen fairings fit, but you will see more insulation on the inside of 2000 up. Honda added vibration and sound reducing elements to the 2000-up 5th gens. fing02.gif I guess to know down that gear whine. goofy.gif

btw I have little to no 5th gen parts anymore. rolleyes.gif

Thanks for the replies, guys. I just want to make sure in my search for replacement body parts that all 5th gen years will fit.

Dutch, "Betty"'s side suffered no damage, but I will be repainting and may loose her to the sanding pad. I am thinking of doing a differnt color, but haven't decided yet. Still need plastics.
