Thisis my second try to design the new vfr. The lights are down at the sidesof the fairing and the frond is full of leds that look like a big "V/" I gues they will look nice at night and every one will know that this is a bike with V engine.Bedide that 1000cc with 135 H.P. NO V-Teck and what ever you wish! ;) http://www.imagebam....e/f963471098651
Hey seeing as you've been bitten by the bug... what about, instead of the space-shuttle nose, what about incorporating some RAM-air elements, the Kawasaki ER650 style exhaust, inverted forks and, emmm, well, wall to wall carpet, no only kidding, yeah a double bubble style windshield... hell, I dunno, I'll get back to you!!!
Since we're dreaming, 8 spoke rear wheel and inverted forks will be very appropriate. Also include adjustable foot pegs. What the heck!
Once we are done building the dream machine, we will start a petition, have it signed by 2-3K folks and create a group buy with Honda
I know, this is krazzzzy, but look at it his way; Honda spends plenty of dough on R&D and market research. If we do some of it for them, they'll only appreciate it and just may use some of our ideas.

I am an eternal optimist. Can't you tell?
WARNING: those easily offended by new ideas for the VFR, read no further!!
I second the motion Rice, and may it be in two directions: up-down, fore-aft!! I'm one long-legged land lubber!!! Make the brake and gear-shift levers adjustable too while you're at it!! Pretty please!!
I actually don't care too wildly for the 8-spoker. Unless you do something to match up front!!
Yeah adjustable handlebars, seat height, windshield, VTEC take-up point (hehehehe), passenger grab-bar location, and NO CBS!!!
Lights that low would be a safety issue I am sure...you wouldn't get much forward throw without blinding oncoming traffic.
But there is sport cars that they have the lighat this level.

Okay, maybe new wheels, and how aboot puttin' the exhaust integrated underneath and side ported a la Buell? (bad word)
More room for baggage options and kicks the tail up from the wheel at least visually....
The V lites serve as DRLs for the Euroboys.
If HONDA can't fig it out..... WHEEL DO IT FOR THEM!!!!!!! :idea3:
B) SPYCON! (rips off other Companies' ideas)
:+1: R&D

V bar lights are interesting as short range lights. Maybe integrate HID's into string.
Lots of pieces, the insurance lobby will like you.
Another vote for underbelly muffler and exhaust. Look at the 2005 CBR1000RR belly. Just like that with RC212V exhaust ports.
Yes, USD Forks.
Try the new CBR1000RR rear wheels.
I think the radiators need a better airflow, maybe use the present light ports as inlets, expand them down ala CBR1000 from the 80's. Maybe integrate the side fairings a little better into the top.
Thanks guys. Reading your post I came with this idea. What about if we come out with the bike of the 7th generation vfr (specs-design) and then I can try to design that and we can send it to Honda. Some one mast open a thread about that with the questions and have a poll.
What do you thing? Shall we give it a try?

Hello Greek ;) I think it's late.
If Honda really has in mind to release a new VFR at the end of 2008 or beginning of 2009 the industrial chain should be started already (I can't believe they can take in consideration a "last minute" restyle).
VFR it is an important bike in Europe and Italy. I've read a really interesting article in one italian bike's magazine...an interview to one of the responsible of Honda Italia.
It seems that the new VFR project is alive ....simply Honda wants the new VFR (as it has been until now) to be the sport tourer reference bike for a long time again...especially in Europe. In order to do this they need to wait until the new low emission regulations will be clearified.
If I'm not wrong I remeber that the 6th Gen. released in 2002 had a low emission system that not only meet Europe’s strict EURO-2 emissions regulations, but surpass them...a 02 bike 2010 ready (and this is a success for Honda's name).
At the moment in Europe there is a bit of confusion regarding what should be the new emission limit for the next years.
I believe (and I hope, too) that as soon as these regulations will be approved we will see a new VFR on all the bike's magazines.
We wait now....to receive a reward later!....Maybe...
