Honda may be hinting at a streetfighter VFR maybe. ..... that swingarm on the bike is singlesided, and the bike looks more like a streetfighter than a v rod that they are comparing it to.Anyways the article was in motor cyclists magazine. there may be an article or pic on the website . I will post it up . i could also be barking up the wrong tree but if you imagine this bike in a Sport version. and with full fairings you could almost imagine what a vfr interceptor version would look like. Maybe some photoshoppers could help out.

I will go and try to find the link.

it may just be a concept but still.... funny that it was just printed in a feb march 08 motorcyclists mag. May indicate atleast that there are ideas out there on bikes . maybe just pipe dreams

Gold Wing engine mated to an automatic trans....EVO6. Honda has been designating most of it's prototype bikes EVO if they have the automatic trans. Honda says the automatic is coming, just not sure which engine design will be the first to use it...................

I already posted that bike (or is it a two-wheeled car?), although it wasn't the main focus of my post:

As according to Honda Spain's "upcoming model" page they are launching this:

and have some strange looking hyperhybrid crud prototypes on the burner:

Which you can see here:

Either way, it's just as ugly.

And all this about an automatic bike is just fugging ridiculous!!! We've already got scooters for that. I mean WHY???? Honda is seriously losing the plot. If they're having problems with sales and pull out fancy gizmos and bizarre designs to get people intersted they're more delirious than I thought. Do they produce these monstruosities because their R&D people like them or because they've held surveys or fathomed the people's wants in a bike???

Maybe this is the end of the golden age of motorcycles?
We as a species have often let technology take us where we didn't want to go, perhaps that's why retro styles are so hot now?
Bikes have gone from being the toys of mechanics, to machines that need very little outside of rudimentary maintenance, to things beyond the simple man, like me.
I just pray that my truck doesn't quit again. I fell that any thing with a mass air flow sensor has got me defeated from the get go. If I can't beat it, I can join it in failure.
The only way to escape that, for me, is to pay to have it fixed. Or, BEAT it.

Most likely would put the automatic tranny in a Goldwing. It would make it easier for old men to ride them. (did I just say that out loud? must be the after effects of anesthesia and pain meds.) :P
