Removing Bar End Vibration

Hey guys,
thought I would share an el cheapo handlebar buzziness remover
step 1 remove end weights
step 2 go to Wal mart and buy el cheapo caulk- costs $1.00 per tube- I used my caulk gun
step 3 cut a small bit off off caulk tube and insert into handlebar end and squeeze away
step 4 reassemble bar end weights.
It worked wonders on my 96 gpz 1100(test mule)-probably cut the vibrations down about 80%

I don't think the OEM handlebars for the 6th gen have any hollow part of the tube to do that?

Someone correct me?

I believe once you remove the part that the bar-end weight bolts to, the rest of the bar is hollow. I might look into doing this on the Helis next winter.

I have a 2003 and never noticed any buzzing in the bars. Even after switching to the Heli's. Adding a good set of aftermarket grips might help a bit. I have the Progrip 719's.

I have heli bars and then I installed some of the throttlemeisters. I feel no buzzing at all. But I did buy the heavy throttlemeisters. And what Johnmark101 said, progrip grips helped too.

Filled my heli's with gel, added heavy custom bar ends, and P.G. 714's. Works for me.
