OK, on my "old" 06 Black VFR I had 2 sets of Gen Mar risers on it after I pulled the tubes through the upper clamp. This really worked well for me. It gave me a total rise of +1.5", but most of all it brings the bars back toward me 1", making it easier to keep your arms bent and relaxed on long rides. I finally did it to the 07 R-W-B also. If you've lowered your bike, this might be an option if all is still not perfect for you............... :fing02:

Actually nothing "bumps", "touches", or "grinds"............. :biggrin: I ride way too much in too many places and conditions for me to do something that affects it too negatively. Bike is only dropped about 3/4"........... :fing02: How can I get that emoticon......See Ya' Travis........ :rolleyes:

I have similar clipon set up, but skip the gen mars. What's the gen mar do other than take up that space, I just have open space?
can you rotate the clipon forward with the gen mar

No, you can't move them forward. The Gen Mars lock themselves and the bars in the stock position. I've raised my bars up on the tubes and reclamped em' without Gen Mars to see how I liked em', and no danger of em' slipping with the bolts tight, but sometimes if you drop the bike on it's side they can slip without the peg lock and bash a dent in the tank. I just like the added security........... :fing02:

I never thought of that, can make a huge difference when you drop the bike. Tanks are expensive.
I think you better not let someone as heavy as me (230lbs) ride your bike. I got a 23kg rear spring with matching progressive springs in the front and, when braking hard, have only about an inch of travel left on the stanchions before the forklowers hit the lower triple. I suppose the fork will bottom out just before that with stock fork height. But with your 3/4" raised fork and stock springs the outcome will be quite different.

I've done panic stops to check, but my little 5'7" X 165 pound butt with body attatched can't bottom em' on a level road. I don't ever advocate large riders doing what I've done to mine. These mods only work for us vertically challenged semi-lightweights to help fix some of the "for sure gonna' drop it in a parking lot or traffic light situation" or "can't back it in or out of a parking space" problems. Makes VFR ownership a lot more enjoyable............... :biggrin: :fing02:
