So I'm picking my daughter up from a bday party last night at her friends house and walking in I walk past a brand spankin new Challenger R/T. It is a great looking car. So this gets me to thinking wouldn't it be cool if Honda did that with a new bike, kind of styled it off of the 1st gen? So a modern standard/naked with the lines of a 1st gen ( not just a paint scheme). I know Kawasaki did it and I love the newer bike.
As an aside I was talking to my daughters friend's father, the owner of the Challenger and come to find out he's a motorcyclist. So he takes me out to the garage and shows me a beautiful Ducati 748 and a Harly Night Train. He said both bikes combined don't have a thousand miles on them. Of course I had to bust his @ss about that. He could not believe that I was still riding. He told me he had to have the Duc because of the color(Yeller) and said that it killed his wrist to ride it. And of course just being neighborly I offered to take it out and keep everything from seizing up on it. Funny how some guys will own bikes and not ride them. I could not do that.

That would be cool but if the heads at Honda can't even decide on a new VFR what makes you think they would even consider going retro. Sweet dream but not a reality.

If a man has no dreams what does he have? Right now I'm dreaming that it is 70 degrees?

Here in California it is 68.8 degrees at 9:38 in the morning. Its a reality. But I do like your other dream of the retro bike. :fing02:

Kawasaki is making a new ZRX for '09. Don't know whether it will be sold here in the US, but it does look sweet. Still kind of retro but it does still look like a ZRX, too. :fing02:

Would love to see Honda do something similar with a couple bikes, but I'm not holding my breath.
