Hey all...

I have a 2006 VFR non-abs and I had a question about adjusting the rear shock.  The part I want to adjust is the part you use the spanner wrench on but for some reason it will not budge.  Are there any tricks to adjusting this?  I have tried with the bike on its side stand and center stand.  I pull to the point where I feel anymore pulling and I'll pull the bike over.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes it's difficult.  Try spraying the adjustment collar and ramp area with some lube (WD-40 or something would work).  The shock gets blasted with dirt and grit which can bind up the adjuster.

Also, try putting one hand on the frame rail and the other on the spanner wrench.  That should help avoid the feeling of pulling the bike over.

Are you also using the extension piece on the end of the spanner?
I have an ABS so it might not be the same, but mine fits on the end of my chain adjuster cam.

It's much easier on the center stand as the shock has the least load on it that way!
