Hi, I have an 04 interceptor with the factory luggage. The top bag works well when my wife is riding with me, but when I'm riding solo I would like to have a hard bag that is bolted to the bolt holes for the grab rails, but is positioned over the back seat so that I have a back rest on long rides. I thought that I saw pictures of a VFR with a bag like that, but after hours of searching, I can't find anything similar. Has anyone seen anything like this? If so, please let me know where to find one! If you have pictures, that's great too.

I believe the bike you may have seen was Skutter's RWB VFR with the Canadian Ken mounting bracket and Givi top case set up. I have considered a Nelson Rigg tail bag or a Cortech tailbag but have not decided yet. Good luck, JD
Just go to the search option, type in "solo rack" and scroll until you see pictures. In the first few pages, there is a ton of info and pics. Hope that helps!
How does a backrest work when you are leaning forward? I have my bag over my back seat on a custom made bracket, and I can't use it for a backrest...and might not want to as I would prefer my back NOT be hitting it in the case of an accident.

Wow!! Thanks for the fast Response! I'm going to get one. I have been a member over at VFRworld for a little while and found some very helpful things on that page, but no response about this mount! I'm glad I found VFRD

I can lean back into it if I take my left hand off the bars, or take both hands off on a nice straight stretch to get the kinks out of my arms. Probably not a smart thing to do, though. May bite me in the arse one day.
