I've been reading your excellent forum for over a month. I ordered a 2009 ABS model in Candy Glory Red in January 09. And after what seems a lifetime will finally pick it up on Tuesday morning, just before a 90 mile commute to work :biggrin:
I've had a Yamaha Fazer FZ6 ABS for a year. Liked the power of the Fazer, but disliked the engine buzz, clunky gearbox from 1st to second and lack of torque requiring constant gear changes in traffic or around town.
After I've run the VFR in I'd like to put on a PC V, K&N Air filter and some great sounding but not to loud aftermarket cans (leo Vince, Devil or Staintune?)
Any suggestions or general comments would be appreciated :biggrin:
Welcome to the fold! I have the Microns and LOVE the sound. They have a very nice low note to them and just enough volume. The one drawback to the Microns is they will not work with the factory hard bags.. which I have also. Sigh.... Staintunes seem to be the most popular on the board and I like them as well. Actaully considering selling the Microns and pickin up a set of Tunes so I can use my bags.
I'm in the UK and the 2009 colours are Candy Glory Red (with Gold Wheels), Sword Silver Metallic (with Gold Wheels) and Pearl Sunbeam White / Graphite Black (with Ross White Wheels) :biggrin:
I'd paste some images of the different colours but can't figure out how I do that :huh:

AH....The mid-lands....my old stomping grounds......Does Stevenage still have that big multie intertainment pub....With all the birds that come on the bus on weekends (early 70's).......It's nice that you have a few choices of colour on the VFR there...Monk
It was that Candy Red that inspired my new paint job (that and the black and white's lines) so it is definitely a very nice color. Now show us some pics of your bike! It doesn't really exist until we see them! :ph34r: ;)
Beautiful VFR! I'm not crazy about the top box, yet I have one and man does it ever come in handy when I do use it. (Yours is a bit prettier than mine)

When I lived in New York, I used to put packing tape on my fork leg, before the registration decal was applied. Thus not marring the finish on the fork leg. I know others that have added a metal plate to the lower fork mount and applied the decal to that.
- and what's with the euro license plates? Good lord, those things deduct 17 horse power due to the negative aero effects. I love Colorado. No tax disc, no inspection stickers and a little 4" X 7" plate that can just about disappear when mounted with care.. Still jealous of your color options...
Welcome, I put a set of leo vince on my 07 an they sound great, an look very sharp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I looked and heard a few different ones and I really like these.. :cool:
(At least you have choices in the UK. We here in the US get Honda's disdainful "Henry Ford" treatment. "You can have any color you want as long as it's black.")
