Removing The Front Wheel

Ok, I removed the front wheel off my wrecked bike and I will be swapping it to my new one. My question is when I took the wheel off, there were two different spacers, one on each side. I didn't notice them until they fell out. Are they unique to the bike? unique to each side? Am I worrying too much and this will be obvious when I take off the new one? A front wheel isn't something that I want to screw up. :unsure: Thanks for any tips. JB

If you've got a bike in pieces, you really ought to have a shop manual!

Spacers are the same for both your VTECs, and I'm 99% sure the smaller one goes on the left side of the bike.

it's okay if you've forgotten which spacer goes on which side because when you put it back together, the wheel will only mount if the spacers are on correctly. if your wheel isn't mounting, simply swap the spacers and you'll see the wheel mounts properly.

It's in pieces because the lady pulled in front of me! :laugh:

Taking it apart was part of the therapy, but I got ahead of myself.... :unsure:

This.

It only works one way, if you screw it up, you will realize it pretty quickly when you can't fit it all together.

The small one goes on the right side if you are facing the front of the bike, or the clutch side of the bike.
