After playing with the vfr and owning it for longer than ive ever owned a bike for in the last 12 years i searched the airbox mods and did them this morning ie removing the snorkel and flapper mod, took the bike for a 40 mile ride and the difference is remarkable for me the bike is so much smoother, there is a flat spot but only noticable at 5-6k in 4th gear so not really an issue, to anyone thinking of doing this DO IT it really was worth it for my bike and it only takes 10 mins to put it back to std if not what you think
my list of mods continue with the fitment of the gold Titax shorty levers yesterday
mods to date
Titax shorty levery in gold
Gold alloys
K+N

headte grips
Blue vision 80W bulbs in all 4
led side light bulbs
meta defcom alarm
fairing crash bungs
side Rads sprayed black (as on the 09 model)
Baglux tank cover
red annodised bar ends
twin hooters
Rear fender cut and reshaped
small no plate
Garmin Zumo 550
honda Rack
Honda colour coded top box
not sure what to do next but open to suggesgions maybe a power commander ???
I love the bike with all the bits done to it it goes really well and looks really nice
I'd love to see the crash bungs and the 80 watt bulbs and where you got them too. :491:
A PCIII or V would be a starting point, then depending on kilometers, better than stock rubber, and front and rear suspension upgrades from stock...... beyond that, there's led conversions and a lot of 'Bling-Bling' to personalize your ride. :warranty:
Looks like you got a lot of bases covered already! Post up some pics of your stuff.
Greg :fing02:
How about some suspension??
And some pics would be nice too!

What are Giles varibars?
And did you upgrade the wiring to those 80W bulbs? I would recommend heavier gauge wiring and a dedicated relay for them if not. You can actually only pull so much through the stock wires before they melt down, you probably aren't getting a full 80 W from them, and run the risk of a meltdown somewhere down the line if you just plugged them in to the stock wires.
The bulbs are ok been checked by honda dealers and given the all clear re power consumption so no probs there
will post some piccies when I can take some after removing the flapper and airbox trumpet I was out on the bike allday today and have to say the difference is really unbelievable the bike is so much smoother and the on/off throttle responce has gone, is has the very little trace of serging it had the sound was better with the K+N fitted but even better now this MOD HAS TO BE DONE honestly ive spent some money on the bike but this is by far the best mod its had to date
I did this to my RWB:

Gotta love that intake sound, so much better than stock.
Could you point me in the right direction in finding the airbox mods that you did.I'm sure it's me but I'm unable to find the info that you are referring to.
