- These bikes aren't getting any younger... These hoses can last a very long time. I'm gonna do mine simply.because if had them off so many times. It's the ends that are swelled. It can't hurt to do hoses and thermostat. Flush, flush, flush the brake fluid.
- New Front Pads Fitted - EBC HH's most riders on here use ebc hh.
- Oem Parts/ Honda Ext. Warranties Do we still get a deal from mason city Honda? looking at ordering $1000 worth of parts.
- I am back! With UFO 99 VFR800 Zupatun, facts are facts. I'm a Honda tech that sucks at math, lol. I didn't take it the wrong way. I've learned so much here over the past 12 years. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

- I am back! With UFO 99 VFR800 Zupatun, you obviously know a lot more than me. I was always under the impression, each wheel should be weighed at the same time. A scale on each "corner". Interesting, thx. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
- I am back! With UFO 99 VFR800 20lbs from exhaust alone. Scales don't work that way. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
- RIP Nicky @ Ten Kate HQ, Nieuwleusen Thanks Dutchy. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
- Opinions on D&D exhaust? Stupid loud. Pretty much a straight pipe. I'd pass. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
- Carbon fibre wheels? Saw a guy bust a dymag on a tiny pothole. Carbon is not for the street. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
- New key match to ECU Honda car keys take special software. Cutting the key is easy. Programming to the ecu, not so much. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
- My New Bike I don't do white but love that scheme. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
- coolant hoses The hoses last long time. Wouldn't worry if they sat for 2 years. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
- Big engine repair! id love to have that engine.
- Cooling system improvement ? The best mod is the manual fan switch. My bike hasn't gone over 200 all summer. I turn it on at every stop. It also works in normal mode. Best $5 mod e er. Thanks to candy red.
- Changed the oil OMG! I always drain on centerstand and then on side stand. a good bit extra comes out. definetly need the correct filter socket. super easy.

- Pure Gas Is The Bomb! I can get regular and premium 1 mile from my home. It has a placebo effect but haven't really seen a diffirence Ethanol is actually a higher octane. E-85 is like 110. I use pure gas in all my lawn equipment and dirt…
- Intermittent Ticking From Engine 6Th Gen. My clutch has been noisy since day 1. hasne got any worse in 90k miles. I have a cct going bad now. which one usually fails first?

- 6Th Gen Fill Up Questions/tips? I went 52 miles with light blinking, 6th gen. It took 5.5 gallons. No sputter or anything and it was in the mountains. My gauge is so pessimistic. If I fill up as soon as the light blinks its always 4.8 gallons. Ive had…
- 45 Tooth Rear Sprocket = Heaven Ive been running a 45 rear for years. Definetly better pull out of corners. Vtec used to be at 104mph in sixth. Now its like 90-95. Definetly a bit more revs but worth it.
- Vfrd Fall Meet (Oct. 10-14) Boone, Nc @ Greene's Motel. I would be in. I will be staying near the gap the 11th-19th. Maybe meet up one day.
- But Why? Who's Going To Buy One? Nobody. I didnt like it at first. I still think the 6th gens are better looking. I love the vtec. I have no problem with it at all. I bought my 04 in 06 as a leftover. I got it for 7K usd. My boss got his a lattle later for 6k…
- Fan Control - Choose To Turn Fan On Or Off Or Allow The Bike To Control How do I add a simple 2 wire switch to be able to turn the fan on when I want and also work like it normally would? Do I jump the wires from the etc in line with my switch. The fan switch on the rad is a single wire, On…
- Oil Fiter Options For The Honda. I use the honda car filter. A honda hybrid filter is identical to the bike filter. I use the standard honda auto filter since first oil change. 73k miles now, no problems, still honda but half the price.
- Very Nice Complements From Unassuming Riders I went out this past sunday to a relatively local lake. Their is a marina with restaurant, store. Lots of riders hang out in the shade trees along the property at the lake and just enjoy their day. I went in the store…
- Another Oil Thread...ooooooh Noooooo YoshiHNS I don't get it. Every time I go change the oil it's dirty. I'm pretty sure I put clean oil in there. I think someone keeps putting junk in my oil to make it dirty and make my bike not run as well. It's very…
- Another Oil Thread...ooooooh Noooooo BLS is right on the money about clutch plate glaze. As he stated riders with many years under their belt de-glazed at least the friction plates, as part of normal maintenance and kept rolling. I raced mx for 2 decades…
- Another Oil Thread...ooooooh Noooooo IIRC moly (molybdenum) is no good for wet clutches. BLS, correct me if thats wrong.
- Another Oil Thread...ooooooh Noooooo Nearly all oil is excellent in todays world. Service classification is the main thing. API, american petrolum institute service grade. AS bls said energy conserving oil isnt what makes the clutch slip. IT IS FRICTION…
- 6Th Gen Vfr 800 Chain Noise? Chain looks way too tight to me.I'm pretty positive. I don't like that noise, that's not good. I hope it's just the chain and sprockets. The bottom should be slowing slack will running like that. I mean obvious…
- Throttle Hand Technique 1 on each lever always. 1,2, or 4, on brake. I guess i'm versatile. I think it comes from mx and the amount of arm pump or what lap of the moto. I find that I usually use 2 on the brake. At the end of the moto I am…
- Vfr Can't Keep Up With V-Rod? Harleys can be fast as hell. Fast enough to smoke a vfr in a drag race. However the harley will have to have 2.3 liter S&S on race gas. My buddy and I had to listen to a guy the other day saying how his buddy could hang…
- Vfr Can't Keep Up With V-Rod? The ground clearence and riding position is no where near as good for sport riding.
- Vfr Can't Keep Up With V-Rod? Yep the v-rod is a porsche designed engine. I've ridden 2 and they may be near the same in the quarter mile. but thats it. An average rider on a vfr could smoke a good rider on a v-rod anyday, Look at displacement too.…
- Cleaning Techniques? would anyone recomend taking a pressure washer to the bike without the farings on? When I got my bike little over a year ago it looked clean on the outside but this early spring i removed all the fairings to find that…
- Shelf Life For Brake Pads? I will back that up, no problem as long as they are sealeed and havent been sitting in grease or oil. Should be the same as the ones that rolled out the factory yesterday as long as they are clean and stored properly.
- Crazy bad gas mileage!!! Kirdro So after extended testing (and a long absence from the forum) I'm resurrecting this thread since the problem still stands. Here's the update: 4,000 miles: average is still sitting right around 22mpg. I've gone…
- How loud should I let the clutch get before I get concerned? Mine was louder on my 6th gen new, than my buddy's 5th gen. Its the plates ears smacking the basket I believe. My bike has about 70k miles and it hasnt gotten any worse or caused problems. Same thing, pull in the lever…

- What about an "italian stallion" viffer Lever is crazy low. Raise that thing up. Looks aok.
- Front tire on backward oh no It is backwards. Just look at the arrows. The track guys must do what us MXer's do. When a rear tire looses it's square edge we can turn it around and it's a hew edge for better grip. IIRC most michelins have the frt.…
