What about traction control?

Traction control was mentioned in multiple "leaks" prior to the official Honda announcement.

Yes this is disappointing... maybe they dropped it for cost reasons, saving it for the (presumably pricier) touring version. Ditto the VCM.

You would think that with the throttle by wire, and the wheel speed sensors for the ABS that a TC system would be a relatively simple "plug n play" app.

My thoughts exactly. This is something the ECU could take care of without adding additional hardware. I find it strange that this bike has an automatic option, but not VCM or traction control. I'm wondering if we won't see a Generation 7.1 in 2011 or 2012 with this and a few other minor tweaks. Let the speculation and rumor mill begin.

The dual clutch version could be bundled with some other goodies.... I'm speculating that the cool stuff is being saved for the ST replacement, so as to help justify the price premium.

And on an unrelated note, I'll bet 10 loonies that the next GOldwing has a dual clutch transmission.

I've been saying for years now that the wing should have an automatic transmission option.
