I dont know if this is a mailing list or an OzVFR thing, but we usually have nicknames for the various generation VFRs.

3rd Gen: Classic (where it basically all came together)
4th Gen: Testarossa (obviously coz of the cheeze graters on the side)
5th Gen: Klingon (bird of prey, due to its swoopy curvey lines)
6th Gen: Origami (coz of its folded sharp lines)

So what shall we call the 7th gen? I know its a bit hard since we haven't seen it in the flesh yet...

Pug? (pugnosed)
Hippo? (looks slow, fat and heavy on paper, but in the right elements is explosively fast)

err, scientifically "Quadrocyl Vifferrati"?

Something more complimentary... something for you creative types out there...

How about the...... RT? Oh wait BMW took that. How about ST? Oh wait Honda took that one too. How about the.... Heavier, Uglier, Not Sportier... yeah! Good luck Honda, instead of spending all the money on researching and developing bikes that the customer doesnt want, just put buses at all of your dealerships to take people to the nearest Yamaha dealer to buy their bikes. It would be way less expensive and the customer would get what they want. FZ1 here I come!
