Jumping out of 5th help appreciated

Well after a year and a half and nearly 30,000 miles I've still got my silver bullet!! To some of you who know me on here that's impressive for me, and now she is going to go through her second (and final) winter I have one question.

It hasn't happened very often, maybe twice so far, but she has jumped out of 5th today... is this a sign that I need to replace sprockets??

Otherwise my viffer is still going strong, a workhorse she is, all weather commuter, weekend play thing, 2-up tourer and everything in between - I don't need no 1200... well not yet anyway, especially on these slippery dirt ridden roads :wheel: :ph34r:

I would tend to think the clutch-plate springs might be the culprit...

2 possibilities.

You didnt get it all the way into gear.

The dogs are worn in the transmisssion and 5th gear wont stay engaged.

Hopefully you just didnt get it all the way into gear.

Thanks for your replies, I am quilty of being a bit lazy with my left foot sometimes (I need DCT)!! I'll keep an eye on it for a couple of weeks and see if it happens again, but I got a feeling it might
