I'll be slaving away in the kitchen since the wife doesn't cook. Have fun!

Title says Day After Turkey Day. You going Thursday or Friday? I'm looking to get some riding in on Thursday, which is Thanksgiving.
#5
A couple buddies and I are gonna leave Chattanooga early Friday morning and head north to Cleveland, run 64E along the Ocoee (before the rock slide) to junction 30, north through Reliance and on to Tellico Plains via 315/39; then cross the Cherohala to 129 and through the Gap. We may run into you guys if you get up that way.
#6
Thursday my sister is riding in from Houston on her GS. We'll be looking for a ride on Friday. If this is for the day AFTER Turkey Day we might be in! Gotta check with sis for how early she wants to hit the road. Also, I don't know how fast y'all run. Houston is pretty flat so she's not accustomed to the hills and should take it kinda easy.
#7
Friday sounds good for me, if you dont mind, I may head towards you and then follow you back to 129.
#8
Don't know about the Friday forcast for Atlanta,
but for Chattanooga it's gonna be PC w/temps of
33L/48H. Da Cherohala (see pic) gonna be COLD.

Ok, I see you will be coming from west NC on friday so I was thinking about what would be convenient for yall. If no one in GA is going to come, then I may just change the meeting spot from Exit 13 on 400 to somewhere up 441. We could meet at the BP next to warwoman or somewhere else, just let me know what will work out best for yall.

Ok, I just realized that we have quite a few folks wanting to ride scattered around the southeast. I think I will stick with my original plans for anyone who wants to join along and then maybe tomorrow afternoon our group could rendezvous with some of the Tenn/NC folk once we make it into the area. For the Georgia people still open to ride tomorrow, the meeting spot will be exit 13 off of GA 400 at the BP at 930am. Todd I'll PM you my number as well to alleviate any confusion or if something happens to come up.

Exit 13 happens to be the Cumming exit, not McFarland (exit 12) just an FYI. So far its looking like myself, Todd, Blesk, Blesk's Sister, and marid2apterbilt (if you can make over to 400, if not then give me a call and we can meet up at Blood Mountain or 19 for the ride up to deal's gap etc if that's the game plan). Is Kevin going to make it out with you too? The invite is always extended.

I am pretty open to routes and suggestions, I know the N Ga/Tenn/West NC area pretty well so we have quite a few options. Blesk mentioned Deals Gap but that is quite a haul for one day, and there are quite a few roads closer that are just as fun and not as heavily policed or commuted. I will go ahead and PM everyone my number for convenience. Hope everyone ate plenty of good food today, I know I sure did!

Vince (97VFR750)

PS: The pace of this ride will be moderate, tomorrow is black friday and I anticipate some traffic, plus I still only have one mode of transportation since my tahoe was stolen so I plan on keeping the shiny side up and taking it kind of easy. Especially for any riders who have not ridden these roads before.

Thanks again everybody for the lovely ride today! Glad everyone made it home ok...Michelle its always a pleasure riding with you and at least this time no bikes were harmed and we got away with not playing any dominoes!

Olga is was a pleasure meeting you and good luck on your ride back to Houston! Hope you got your fill of twisties for now, and hopefully you can make it back to these parts during the warmer months.

Darius, didn't get too much of a chance to catch up with you so we will shoot the breeze the next ride!

Todd, thanks again for making it out. Ill pass along your digits to my dad so he can consider the superhawk, gotta plan another ride soon.

Sam, I had a kickass time with you making richard russell our personal racetrack, gotta get some front meat for your ride so we can do it again with a bit more confidence. Maybe we can bring our ice picks for a little climbing at the top haha. Ill keep you posted about the track day at the end of the month.

No pics Seb, sorry! Was having too much fun to snap one (oops)

That front tire will be removed in the morning and put on another/better take off. Been having issues with that front since my day @ barber. Trying to save my last good set for Jennings in DEC.. Anyone close to the MTNs need a commuter only tire let me know, plenty of center tread left. Pick up only..

Sorry Seb, I think Blesk was the only one taking pics, Daisy might have took a few also.. I was having too much fun playing on the curves...

97vfr750
Hopefu;;y next year I get to spend a bit more time on the RR. It is truly a fun road but I have only ridden it 2 ? other times this year and maybe 5 or 6 times total.. Those front wheel drifts are very nerve racking..
