Stainless Steel carb screws

Hi all, I just bought a bag of (100) Allen socket stainless screws to replace the Philips/8mm float bowl screws on my 96 VFR. I am replacing the screws on (2) sets of carbs, so I will have (76) screws left over.

If anyone is interested, I'd like to sell the leftovers to you guys.

The 4th gen takes 12 screws(3 per bowl), and I can send a set of (12)anywhere in the lower 48 for $5 shipped, bagged & in a bubble mailer.

I will check later today if these screws will fit other bikes, like my 86 VFR 700 and maybe the 83-85 Interceptor(which, IIRC, take (4) per bowl)

These screws will not rust themselves into the carb body, and are easier to install and remove with the use of an allen wrench.

FYI - The early VF carbs use M4 screws that are two different lengths per carb. I don't think what you have will work on those bikes.

Didn't get to check last night, but no biggie. I know these will work for 4th gens, and I'm not trying to sell a thousand of them. If someone wants to check their 86-89 or 90-93 carbs to see if these will work, please do! I'd like to keep these from cluttering my shop.

Just got home from work. I'll take a set if someone doesn't come through for you.

i use stainless steel fasteners on everything i can. my favorites are exhaust bolts and nuts and battery connection hardware. but the best still has some drawbacks.........they vibrate loose and fall out of just about everything they are holding.........ss lockwashers don't work. a lock washer has to bite in on both sides to work. if both sides are ss they won't bite. i use a thread locker and sometimes gasgacinch or other form a gasket to quell the vibration of the hardware. i buy all my hardware by the pound at huge savings at k-surplus in national city, ca. maybe you have something similiar in your area :rolleyes:
