Could someone with a factory Honda VTEC maintenance manual, please tell me the torque spec on the pillion handle mounting bolts?
-Thanks and yes, I know that I am too anal about proper torque specs :-)
16 ft.lbs.... which I got from the service manuel on this forum...
Not to be cutting in on TTC and BR.... I was looking it up while you were answering....
My vtec manual is out in the shop and I'm too lazy to wheel out there right now so my number was from the 5th gen. Hard to imagine lower numbers on the 6th gen that uses these as the top mount plate for factory bags, but 16 ft.lbs should work.
Thanks Monk :fing02:

Torque it down 'til it strips then back off 1/4 turn! That should do it!
lol :goofy: yes thatll do...
and yeah you are too anal... lol
the bolt is threading into steel so you dont have to worry too much about over torquing it, as long as you dont have a 5 foot breaker bar or something... lol
