Cool reply from HRCA.

As a member of HRCA (Honda Riders Club of Australia), I emailed the club today to find out if membership of the club entitled me to preferential treatment when it comes to road tests of the new VFR.

Here is the reply I received.

"Hi Phil,

The Honda Marketing department are looking at running demo rides from selected dealers around the country when the VFR1200 is released (hopefully before the end of the first quarter) similar to the Fury tour that is underway at the moment (http://vt1300cx.hond...tour-dates.html).

We are also looking at running a track day at Eastern Creek and taking along a fleet of VFR's for test rides.

Nothing has been finalised/approved at the moment, I will send you the details when they are finalised.

A road test AND a track test....mmmm, let me see, could I manage that??? :biggrin:

'Tis a shame Honda dropped the Honda Hoot....was always a Great place for Demo Rides.....I/We took several there on various Hondas, and offerings from Other Manufacturers....this sounds Great though..... :fing02:

Cool that Honda are going to do that. It is just that for the cost of a trip from here to down under I would be a good way toward just buying one! Hmmmmm, think HRCA in the states will be arranging something like that?????????? NOT! (hell, they even dropped road service coverage for members.) Let us know what your impressions are when you get to ride one. :wheel:

Cool opportunity, but I'm puzzled as to why you still refer to this bike as a "VFR". Aren't you the one that declared the VFR was dead... ;)

Aw, I gota' feelin' He'll be grinnin' from ear-to-ear after a test ride on the New VFR1200F....V-4, 1200cc, Single sided swingarm, shaft drive, massive brakes, inverted fork, built in hard case mounts, and on and on....gota' be a Great Ride, no way around it....all the "Bad Posts" will evaporate by the third curve...... :fing02: :beer:

Thats the reason i dropped HRCA and went to the AMA (they offer roadside included if you renew annually with a credit card)

Maybe we can get a hold of one of these USA Demo's for HS at a Big Discount! :rolleyes:

Strange that you should ask that today. Honda Australia announced yesterday that it is ceasing operation of HRCA effective immediately. How this will affect the plans to offer road tests has yet to be discovered, but I will be seeking some answers.
