I'm embarrassed to say this after 22 years of riding, but I dropped my VFR on it's side. I'd like to give some great story filled with excuses, but the reality is I'm not really sure what happened myself. Damage is one small scratch and one totalled left mirror. I didn't see one on the auction, but I did see alot of aftermarket types. Does anyone have any experience with mirror swaps, preferably with pictures?? It's an '07 if it matters, and if it comes down to it I can get another one in the $85 range.

Ha. Welcome to the club, man. I dropped my two-week-old RWB the very first time I rode it to work. Some grand entrance it was... :rolleyes:
The stalk on my right-side mirror snapped and I just went ahead and picked up a new OEM unit from Bike Bandit. Like you say, it was probably $80 or so, shipped.
FWIW, the unit they sell is everything: base, stalk, glass. Only the two bolts and little plastic cap on the pivot transfer over.

If you are willing to shell out $80, just buy a new one.
Dropped my 6th once, Service Honda had some price about $25 less than suggested retail, I'd check with them.
Try a WTB ad in the classifieds here.
