After my little get off, while my shoulder was healing I decided it was about time to get my valves...I had the body work off and i couldn't ride anyway. The valve check took much longer than expected, due to being busy doing other things, and shipping time for various parts and pieces.
I finally buttoned the bike back up on the 23rd, but it has been too cold to ride. I did however warm it up in the garage on the center stand so i could burp the cooling system (new fluid with the valve check). The old fluid had looked good still, but I had drained most of it when I moved the radiators out of the way. When I started the bike, and it started up very easily (just had to prime the lines as I had replaced the tank/fuel pump etc), I noticed it was smoking...but I couldn't tell if it was smoke or just the cold air...plus I had spilled some coolant on the headers and they smoked a bit.
A couple days later I fired it up again, and I noticed when I blipped the throttle (not up to temp fully) that there was again smoke in the exhaust. Color was light, not dark, but I couldn't say if it was blue or grey. Is it possible to have missed something, or done something in the valve check, that could cause this? Only 3 V-tec valves were out, and those were barely out...like 2 buckets sizes at most.
any thoughts? Things to try? It's still colder than hell (hell freezes at 40 degrees), so I haven't ridden it yet other than the first night around the neighborhood (ran great).
