Question about needles / jets for 4th gen - 94-97

Ok, what's going on here? Anyone recognize these needles?

The one on the left came out of a 1996 carb rack, which also has #124 main jets installed along with the stock #40S slows.

The needle/diaphragm on the right came out of a second 1996 carb rack, which has what is believed to be the stock #125 main jets, and #40S slow jets.

Anyone got ideas on what brand the needle on the left is, and why someone would install smaller jets? :unsure:

Seb, these bikes came stock with both #125 and #128 jets, I can't remember what went in what and why this was. If needed I have 4 brand new #128s in package that I will never use I will make you a deal on them if you need them.

Just checked the manual, #125's are stock for 49 states & Canada, California bikes had #128's in the front bank, and #125's in the rear.

Still doesn't explain the #124's I found. :huh:

Could the needle be worn? How did the bike run, that it came out of?

Jet kit? Does the needle have an adjustable clip at the top when you take it out of the boot?

Apparently the bike ran well, with a slip on and stock filter. I haven't heard it run myself but based on the owners claim along with an indifferent witness to said claim, I believe this to be true.

No, the needle on the left is definitely not a worn-out version of the one on the right.

I did some more research and found out that this is a Dynojet jet kit.
