Do 2007 VFR800s Need the VFRNess and Blue Connector Mods?

Did Honda fix the problem is doing the mods still a good idea?

Is your bike involved with the recall? if not then it's wiring is up to snuff. Check with Honda to see if you need the recall. I had it done along with keeping my VFRness. I'd still recommend the VFRNess though, I've never looked back and have more confidence on the road because of it.

06 and up should be good but it seems like Tightwad improved some other things on it. Shoot a message out to him for an expert answer!:fing02:

Can't speak to the need for the blue wire mod...I am assuming there was a change to that connector that prompted Honda to think they have it all fixed now, so it probably isn't needed. The VFRness is still a bonus for the 2007 models, as it provides more stable charging system values generally.

Of course it took 5 years for Honda to admit the 2002-2006 models had issues...so it is possible 2007-2009 has a different set...or the same issues even.
