Stopped by today at the the local Honda Powerhouse seller in hopes to see the new VFR1200. Nope, notta, the bike was sold shortly after it was placed on the show room floor. My luck, so I asked the salesman when would another be available? He wasn't sure and then began to tell me the VFR1200 they had rolled off the floor at $13,800 after discounts. I was huh? $13,800 after discounts? I then told him I purchased a VFR800 and was doing more 2 up riding than I had planned and thought maybe the VFR1200 would be better fit for 2 up due to my power needs. He informed me he has rode both bikes and liked the VFR800 better, but he could understand the reasoning for wanting the VFR1200 for 2 up riding. So now I'm mixed on what I want, I mean $13,800 for a VFR1200 sounds better than the original MSRP everyone has spoke about and what about why he liked the 800 better leaves me to wonder. I don't drive 2-5 MPH very often and the true enjoyment I like is the 0-100 MPH speed rush with lots of twisties. The $13,800 has got my interest even more than before though. I'm kinda wondering if the salesman is full of BS.
