Not sure if this has been posted before. Ive always liked the k12s and starting to like the vfr12 more and more. I would love to have either one of these bikes.

Great comparo, and very well written IMO. Thanks for posting that link, Adam. :fing02:

Personally, I think the K1300S was Honda's target all along. And while I love my 6th gen, if I had to choose between the new VFR and the Beemer I'd buy the K bike, with most or all the options.

Nice article, thanks for the heads up.

I too would take the Beemer fully loaded. Curious what the next couple years of the K1300 will bring now that Honda's cards are on the table.

I have not ridden the new vfr yet but I have taken the k1300s for a little ride and it was definitely a smooth bike. I do not know if honda can compete 100% against the BMW or not. There are too many extra features the BMW has to offer for me to pass it up. Whats another $2k when you are spending $16k anyway.

The K1300S would be hard to beat, especially with all of it's additional tech and the lack of saddlebags (as stock) on the Honda. I like both bikes, however.

THe 1300 carries a teaspoon more gas...........basically the same tank size. Not sure if it is all useable.

Heh...

That turn out is up 33 above Ojai. One of my favorite roads and where we stop for pics and to look at other bikes coming up and going down. The other look was out on Highway 1 at Magu Rock, another of the roads I ride alot.

Cool. ;-)

I don't think people are gonna have to pay $15,999 for the VFR12. There are two siting on the show room floor at two different dealships 20 miles away from one another and neither of them have sold yet....they have had them for two weeks now. Thats along time for a completely new motorcyle that has gotten good reviews.

I bought my 6th gen from one of these dealer last year and was asked when I was going to buy a 7th gen. I told him it was to much money to spend and I'll wait for a used one to hit the market. The sales manager asked me "how much would a new one have to come down on price for me to buy it". I couldn't buy it no matter what right now so I didn't get into it with him, but im sure he would have let it go for less than $16k. I kind of hope the VFR doesn't sell well that way I can get one for cheap. But then again if it doesn't and Honda decides to drop the VFR from there line up........well that would just suck.
