Scrubbing in the Tires

Just got back from some Santa Monica Mountain road bashing, gotta scrub those tires in!, and I'll tell you what, this bike is nowhere near the elephant I thought it was going to be. The power is something to be experienced, especially the way it just keeps rolling on like it'll crush anything in it's path. My '07 CBR1000rr is still the quickest bike I've ever experienced but the VFR isn't all that far behind. I'm very impressed with the handling as well. Much more surefooted than I expected. Treat it with respect and this bike can get you from here to there in a hurry, that's for sure.
Anyway, those that are posting things they don't know about, like it's too heavy, big, whatever, all I can say is try and find one and ride it around before you pop off. A good friend with an '04 (6th Gen?) rode it through the mountains and didn't want to give it back. His '04 is no slouch but, in his words, there was no comparison. When he handed me the keys after our ride he said, with a smile on his face, "I hate you now". ;-)
