Here is a video of the Two Brothers Pipe....

Sounds good, and a ton of torque, that is for sure! Thanks for sharing!

Is it just me, or is there a lot of shaft effect going on there?

That's what she said.

2 hp gain...what's the point?
#5
Wow! The header pipes look just as small as the 800's.

Hahaha, true. Yep, not huge gain either (also what she said).

So far the biggest complaints about the new VFR from non-owners has been the smaller fuel tank and the looks of the stock exhaust. The aftermarket is attractive and I'd bet much lighter, too.

I think all the aftermarket cans ruin the looks of the bike. They all carry farther back than the stock and look completely out of place. I'm quite pleased with the stock muff. Quiet too, quiet power is the best power.

Oh, it saves a bunch of weight. I'm wondering if it incorporates a catalyst? If they sell it in Cali I think it has to, right? As far as jacking effect I think the above poster is mistaking the bike straining against the straps for suspension jacking.

Looked like the thing just wanted to explode off that Dyno. ;-)

I'm busting out the cc tomorrow if they can assure me it's 50 state legal and won't interfere with the bags. :-)

Thing sounds like the old racing V4's. Nothing like it. :-)

Great vid and a wonderful sound from the xorst. Nice and bass heavy.

I kind of agree. I don't think the carbon fiber can looks good on this bike. Maybe a titanium or stainless can. Eitherway, none of the aftermarket cans look elegant enough to be on this Acura.

I had the privilege of letting Two Brothers use my new 1200 as their guinea pig for this pipe. I only hesitated about 2.5 seconds - thinking of the dyno thrashing it would get with exactly 0 miles on the odo. I'm not really worried; it is after all a Honda motor...

I can't say enough about how stoked I am about this exhaust! The vespa/moped tone from the Star-Trek-reject pipe was embarrassing. It was a little better after the servo opened the valve in the exhaust, but I couldn't get over the look/sound. Now the bike sounds as exotic as it looks. I get people stopping me to ask about what kind of bike/engine it is. The V4 sound really is unlike anything else; as distinctive as the Ducati dry clutch chatter.

I love the way the bike looks with the TBR pipe! Two CHP motors have stopped me already, admitting they just wanted to check out the bike. Everybody that has seen it loves the carbon fiber and how it sounds. The proportions of the bike look balanced now, from the side and the rear views.

TBR will have a Juice Box unit ready soon with fuel maps specific to the 1200 and this exhaust. I'll put it on as soon as available. I'm sure the HP gains will be even better than the 5 extra gained from the pipe.

Thanks for the update. I know sound clips can be deceiving, but I definitely think this pipe sounds the best from the few clips that are out there. I ordered my pipe from Two Brothers last week. It is currently in production and will ship around 6/16. I am excited to get mine fitted as well.

The problem with most aftermarket cans is they look so....aftermarket. Most aftermarket cans are generally one size fits all with only the plumbing tailored to each bike. With few exceptions, the manufacturer is not going to design a different can for every bike, let alone engineer it for optimal performance. Caveat emptor.

I think the challenge with the after market can and the VFR1200 is to make sure the can does not negatively affect power quality. I like the look of the CF can on that somewhat heavy bike. Stock pipe picks up the syling of the wheels so I guess in comparison it looks slightly more out of place than the stocker.

Dyno thrashing is actually probably the best thing for breaking in a motor if done properly. The bike needs to be heated up and then run through lots of rpms to get the rings to seat properly.

You'll probably end up with one of the better performing and lower fuel-consuming engines out there, thanks purely to this dyno thrash. :)
