hey all.
my 1st '86 VFR750F has a pair of aluminum Supertrapps with the disk system, and a K&N with modded airbox. but my 2nd '86 VFR750F is all stock and didn't have nearly the same sound. i hope to start rebuilding it as a "Flyin" Fred Merkel replica in the next few months, but the race bike had a single left-exit exh... i REALLY loved the sound of my dual Super's, but was thinkin about goin the route of single 16" iDS2 Supertrapp can on a custom left-exit high-mount pipe.
basically, i'd like to know if anyone has had set-ups similar to both and if the single can would have the same type of sound. i've heard single Kirker and Yosh systems, but they didn't have the *snap* of the disk'd Supertrapp. would one can be quieter, or more restrictive? would adding more disks to the iDS2 Supertrapp can make it sound more like a dual can system and be louder?
all comments welcomed!
thx :D
