Check this out. My rear tire has an interesting spot on it, like a high spot within a tread... Here's a pic:

Generally, the tread looks good and the tires only have about 4 - 5K on them.

Is it time to replace them?

Looks like you are down to the wear markers in the center of the tire.

I would not run them til the belts poke out, but I am sure you can get a few more miles out of them.. Hell if you spend more time leaned over they should last another 1 or 2 k. To bad most roads are strait lines.

I run'em until the tire exhales through the cords.
Correction. Ran.
Had too much hassle last time, so just until the cords show up from now on http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/bliss.gif

Using my highly scientific over-the-internet measuring gage, looks like about 500 miles to me.
So I think you're covered for the coming Sunday http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/fing02.gif
If not, it will make for some fond memories. http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/laughing6-hehe.gif

Hitting the wear bars means it's time to order new ones, and replace at your discretion! :fing02:

Edit, yes, you should be ok for Sunday.

The AV60's are no more.. Front was pretty badly cupped. Mounted a set of PR2s tonight. Thanks to Burns for the assist.
