need help to fix my vf1000f

I have an 1984 vf1000f with 6000 miles on it .it has a miss fire on the #1 and #4 cylinder and i have cleand the carbs. but am checking them agan i have put in new plugs and new wires .what am i missing here help thanks

Try swapping the spark boxes and see if it then misfires on #2 & 3 instead - if it does, you need a spark box... not sure if that's how they're paired, but that's my first guess. Especially since you've obviously moved them, and they may be more susceptible to failing in whatever new position you put them in.

I was thinking that to but the spark unit is 2-4 and 1-3 and i have a miss fire on 3-4 i think it mit be the carbs

Hmm. Did you set the float heights correctly? How did you clean the jets? Did you sync the carbs after you put them back on the bike?
