vf 500 forks

Hey all,

Crashed my 500 about a month ago, and finally got what I thought was everything sorted. Rode her home from a friends house, and after a block I realized that the forks must be bent. I have tried some slight fidgeting with the triples to no avail, I think they are bent. I was wondering if the forks on the vf500 were the same for all years, as it will make my search a lot easier if I can also use 85s and 86s for my 84. Can somebody shine a light?

Depending on what good forks for a 500 are gonna cost, you might consider upgrading to a more modern set-up like the F3. I'm not learned enough yet to know what is a direct swap and what requires mods.

84/85/86 should all be interchangeable. Get in touch w/ Timmythecop, he has a couple sets, but not sure if they're perfectly straight or not.

managed to snipe a set on eBay for 10.50 last night (44.99 shipping tho). Hrmmmm crashing bike is LAME hopefully this is the last thing my babyceptor needs.
