I want to add Givi top box, has anyone installed the Givi bracket yet and if so how difficult was it to install? I'm not that mechanically inclined and only have basic hand tools. The reason I'm asking is because whether I should have the Give Top box and bracket shipped to the dealer for installation or is it something I can do myself. Will factory side bags interfere with the installation of the Givi top box rack?

My bike is coming on wednesday/thursday and I will be installing the GIVI mount. I'll take some pictures and post so you can decide for yourself. Looking through the install guide that came with the bracket, it appears like it quite easy with no need to cut/drill any body work.

The topbox bracket (Kappa) was easy to attach. The centerstand is SW-Motech, I think the stand is alittle long having difficulty putting it on the stand.

My bike missed the flight so if ended up coming over the weekend. Spent the better part of the day installing all the extras I had bought for her. Amongst which was the GIVI Mount. I have a V46 Monokey box, which I swap between bikes.

As the install was going according to plan untill we got to the point of installing the mount. It would not fit. After all combinations of washers etc to try to make the bracket line up to receive the mount, I had a piece flat steel bar welded and drilled the hole where it should have been. I was quite disappointed in the fact that mount didn't work but extreme;y happy at the solution I came up with. Some pictures follow to show you how it all came together. Excuse the quality, I could only get my phone.

I used Kappa mounting bracket & top case, had no problem installing the mounting bracket and made no modifications. Isn't Kappa a sister company to Givi?

@ Phobe. This is probably what I should have done!!

@ Dae. Dont know about Kappa and Givi being sister companies but found that the bracker which was meant for the mounting base didnt work. My R&G radiator guard, also for the 2010 VFR didnt fit. Go figure. Thanks!!! about 3 times the cost of the normal registration, transferable and upto 8 characters. Isn't Nigeria great! :fing02: A bit :offtopic: but here goes. Excuse my vanity :bliss:
