DCT finally ready to pick up yesterday. Had ordered 12V outlet with harness, windscreen extender and hugger, but hugger not yet shipping.
Wiring harness installation required removal of fairings, lifting up airbox and tank, as connects somewhere up front to electrical system. Receptacle is under the seat, so must be a reason not to connect the harness directly to the battery.
What is max allowable power draw? No user manual supplied, just installation instructions. Will probably have to call Honda CS Monday when they open to find out. Also need to know whether battery tender could be plugged in that way. Was planning to have standard battery tender cable attached at 600 mile service. It would also be fused like the 12V outlet.
Only had time for 37 mile ride, but worth waiting another month for DCT.
What operating temps are others seeing? Air temp last evening was 90F, and temp gauge was at least 20 percent past the last marker below the red section. Much of the ride was country roads, minimal stop and go in town, riding easy, mostly D mode until 300 mile break-in competed.
Have some pics, but don't see how to attach. I'm currently logged in from my phone (Evo), rather than laptop.
