I would take a valid coupon for HF anyday...I spend too much there.

Does anyone know if the 20% is valid on sale prices?

I've used a bunch of them from various magazines, newspapers, etc. Got a bunch of disposable flashlights now too.

I found in the beginning, they were applied to ANY one item, including sale prices. Got some really really cheap stuff.

Lately, the coupons have disclaimers on them about sale items (e.g. valid only on regular priced stuff).

But I've found it depends on the cashier. I've brought stuff up there, and sometimes a sale item is discounted, sometimes not. YMMV.

Also bought plenty of stuff there. The 60" oak work bench for $130 or $140 or whatever is pretty nice.
The flat black 3 piece tool chest thing with 10 or 12 drawers for about the same price is good, for the price.
If I was a professional mechanic or something, I'd spring a few hundred or so for the good stuff.
But I mostly use it to organize my tools for the time (most of it) when I'm not using them.
Safety glasses $2, cheap gloves, love the cloth gloves with rubber coated palms.

I like Harbor Freight, cheap prices, and if you only use the tool now and then, the quality is probably good enough.
If it's something you use every day, buy the best you can afford. :beer:

Well, I went to HF and bought a belt/disk sander, and 3 way ball for towing, and some quick disconnect hose bits for rockets...everything was on sale so I couldn't use my 20% coupon.

I was tempted by the lathe however...

I always ask for the Mgr on any issue if the clerk won't do it whether it's matching the On-Line price or use of a coupon and my local mgr has Always said YES! :fing02:

Good alternative is to spend more $$$ on a good name. Even if it's older than you are. I need precision for what I want to do - I guess if you just want to make things round it will work.

I received this coupon in the mail today. It is one of the regular in store flyers with a coupon on the front. The coupon doesn't work online. Harbor Freight is usually very good about accepting coupons. The coupon is valid through 12/19 and there are no restrictions that would void it such as copying it. You may even find the flyer in store. Coupon Code 87747804Update: Here is an online printable code. Thanks go to kenmarks! The online printable coupon expires on 11/30 but it may be easy just to substitute the code number for the 12/19 expiration date.
