7th gen on the track

There was a 7th gen going through track school today at Mid-America raceway. I never got any video of it, as I was running my normal track bike in the advanced group. I did have a talk with him prior to the class though, and told him he better join the forum and tell us all how it handles on the track.

I thought that "Hell for Leather" had already confirmed that the VFR1200 was dangerous as hell on the track? What's left to know? :laughing6-hehe: :lurk:

I kid... I think the guy must have been an idiot or had an agenda of some sort.

nah, it was an older guy (late 40's / early 50's maybe)

I think he was just trying to improve his skills on it.

I think everyone should do track school / novice session at least once with each of their street bikes.

So sorry that my seething sarcasm was not reflected in my post. I was referring to a "journalist" from "Hell for Leather" whom a few months ago stated that the bike was TERRIFYING on the track. This after other accounts that I've read all over the internet that the bike handles fabulously and even one place that claimed that they could lap faster on the VFR then some semi-recent full on sport bikes. I want to say they claimed it an equivalent of a 2001 or so R1 which in my opinion is pretty damned good for a "Sport Touring" bike.

As far as everyone doing a track school, I fully agree with you. :fing02:
