It was time to lay down some stripes on the panels. The sucky part is, it's nearly impossible to get a straight line by eye when you have different planes, angles, and curved surfaces. So I broke out my trusty rotary laser level, dimmed the lights and presto, perfectly straight line. I played with the tripod to get close then used the level adjustments on the laser to dial it in. My level also has a crank to raise and lower the whole thing making small height adjustments a piece of cake.

Cheater!
Not using the old tried and never true eye and tape method. Lay down a line of tape, back up and look, rip it up and start again, and thats not even mentioning both sides.
Smart, wish I had thought of it.
Come on, where the color? We've been waiting ages.

Oh, didn't I tell you. I decided, in the interest of time saving, to just go with a single 1/8th" masking stripe on the lower. :laughing6-hehe:

I haven't watched it in years, but did catch a couple of the new ones now that Sr. & Jr. are in competition with each other .
Jr. was using a laser on the last episode I saw when marking up a tank to cut. I thought it was a pretty good idea. :fing02:
Sr. probably would have never thought of it. :laughing6-hehe:
Good work, can't wait to see it painted
