I havnt been paying close attention to its, but i notices the right brake resevoir is empty through the looking glass. My brakes seem fine but it obviosly is a problem.
Is this something i can just top off? Do i need to match what Honda put in there brand wise?

My bike has 8400 miles and is 4-6 months old.
thanks
This on a new 1200??. Something must be wrong,. The fluid must be going somehwere out or into somewhere it shouldn't . Get it to the dealership asap to check it under warranty. but put in some fluid till it at least shows up in the sight glass so you can still have brakes on your way to the dealership.
No, you do not need to "match" the brand Honda put in, just the type, I'm gonna guess it's DOT4 but please check what it says on the cap and/or in your service manual before adding. DEFINATELY get that thing into the dealer ASAP, shouldn't be low allready unless there's a leak somewhere.

Are you absolutely sure it's empty? If it is this is a very serious problem, and there must be a large puddle of fluid somewhere. I'd say this is almost impossible without noticing the leak. You could top it off but I wouldn't ride it anywhere except to the dealer, hopefully it's just around the corner.
Take the top off and look....... sounds more like clear fluid ..... and it's above the window.............. You did say you only looked at the view window?

Yea my brother said the same thinh when I called him. I will check when get back home tonight and report my findings.
now you know the color of new fluid though the glass :fing02:
if you see it discloring into brown I guess it is time to change it............. but you will do that as per the maintenance schedule anyway..
