After hitting a deer at 60MPH, the insurance company came back with a verdict of totaled. I had this 07 RWB for almost exactly a year, and what a fun year! I will miss the bike deerly but unfortunately my taste has gone more to the touring side of the house and my body can't take the forward lean to much anymore, so moving on. I would guess I have about a month or so of rehab and healing before I order my new bike. I'll definitely stay on the forum as this one of the coolest, close-knit forums iv'e experienced. Thanks all for the advice and entertaining, and informative reading.

I've been eying the Concours too. A pretty sweet ride at a great price. Why can't it say Honda on the side???

After a couple tours this summer and fall, I can see moving to a bike built more for long hauls if I ever do a lot of touring. That said, I still love my VFR's versatility.

It my understanding that the new Connie has taken care of the issues that were bothering owners....... heat transfer to rider, and mirror location........... It seems to be a nice bike, I'm sure you'll like it..........

Owned the Concours 14 before moving on to VFR, I thought it was a wonderful motorcycle but several issues always concerned me when out on the rode.
Kipass: not sure if the Kipass would ever fail and can't turn the key fob to know whether its the key FOB or battery issue.
Why can't Kawasaki just use a regular key to start the bike?
During cold temp shows low tire battery sensor and can't read any other information on the dash.
When low fuel warning comes on, can't read other information on the dash ex gear, temp, tire pressure, etc.
Drive shaft clunks when turning the wheel by hand, never heard this clunk on any other bike with shaft drive.
If you're not 6ft tall, will likely tip toe and hard to move around congested traffic.
Wider than the Goldwing, in lane splitting you get a little apprehensive.
I would say it's a nice bike unless you ride into traffic often.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned this yet, but why not a VFR1200 next time and stay around a bit longer??
Other than the smallish gas tank. the "Veefalo" bike should make for a fun touring rig too with the right bags and accessories with a lot of sport riding ability too if the need comes along.

Can you say on the order of $9,000... local Honda dealer wants almost $22,000 out the door with bags and centerstand, OUCH. Another local dealer is offering a new Connie for just under $13,000 out the door. Pretty easy math. Honda's out to lunch these days.

Glad You are OK...always the Important Part... :fing02: ...the Concours 1400 is a Great All-Day-Lota'-Miles Bike....I have ridden 2010 and older versions and almost bought one instead of a 2008 Gold Wing once (Wife was more comfy on the back of the 'Wing... :biggrin: )...I really like em', and the 2011 has addressed all of the "little" issues includin' a Larger Windshield, etc. ....I get to ride one anytime I want, as I have a Truck Driver Friend here that has me ride His two Bikes some when He is out on the road....I make a Great "Battery Tender"...... :laughing6-hehe:
