i have my little garage..and i now need customers!
i am in laurel maryland.. but willing to drive up to 500miles for pick up and delivery..
i drove up to yonkers NY and picked up HOOPDCs bike..
checked the cams, cleaned the airbox, replaced the stantion tubes, installed new head bearings and races, replaced the front wheel bearings, depaired it, grounded the harness, removed a broken stud from the head and replaced the exhaust.... then dropped it off!

as ask HOOPDC how much he loves his bike now.
all of this with pick up and delivery was about a grand.
prices vary with pick up and drop off..due to the price of iced coffee on the way. :goofy:
please let me know if you have any winter work for me. greg.

It's me. Hoopdc. If you've seen any of my previous posts, you'll see how I rave about Greg. I'm soon to be 56 years old, have owned about 10 bikes and have been riding about 22 years. I put on approximately 15,000 miles a year on my bikes.
Greg is hands down the best mechanic, all things considered I have ever had work on my bikes. This includes all the dealers have used in the past.
Like I've said before, he is easily the most honest one I've come across. That was the biggest thing to me. My VFR is now running truly like it did when it was new. Smooth as silk. I have just over 83,000 miles on it.
If you need work done and can't do it, ( like me ) don't have the time, etc., he's your guy.
I gave my bike to him ( actually he came to me and picked it up - I live over 200 miles away from him ) and, at the time, I didn't even know exactly where he lived or even what his last was. He was in constant with me all along the way. No "uh-oh" surprises.

I "met" Greg on this site. Didn't know him from a hole in the wall before that.

Wait, you are throwing this out there NOW? Right after I buy a BMW and decide to sell my VFR? Hell, one of the reasons I decided to make the change is so I could get decent service (when needed) on my bike?

Yeah but I didn't know your "street cred" at that point.
I posted a "For Sale" here and I'm not in a rush to sell but and if someone comes out of the woodwork I'll let it go. On the other hand, if I get bored with the F800S before the VFR sells maybe I'll sell the BMW and keep the Viffer.
Either way I'm looking to riding both in the warmer temperatures this week.
