Well, it was the bike of my dreams in ......1968.....

I wound up getting a 1969 Honda SL90 for my first bike, but always had fondness for and great memories of riding my buddies......

Honda Minitrail

Tuesday I ran across a deal I could not turn away from...so its a few years older than the one in my young dreams, a 1974; but still a Minitrail.

Cool. I had a 69 hardtail, not as a first bike for me but for my daughter.

I think I rode it more.

Tharkun,

I always read your "New bike to the fleet" posts to see what new toys you have landed.

You really made me laugh out loud at work with this one.

This is the one my cousin got after we had thouroughly thrashed his 5 hp mini bike for over a year. I loved that little thing.

Yours looks like the picture was taken in the summer of 73.....congrats on the most smiles per mile yet.

Inverted front fork. Nice!

Would it be wrong to add clamp on bars and a headlight fairing?

Nice looking example......

Would be a shame to pimp it......

Congrats on the new acquisition!

Looks like what "Chuck" rode in one of the Peanuts features : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073922/

I had a minibike very similar to this when I was 4 or 5 years old. I think it was my father's idea, esp. since we lived in a small apartment complex with nowhere to ride the thing. I might have ridden it a couple times, probably scared to death the whole time. I couldn't even ride a bicycle without training wheels at the time, so I don't know what he was thinking. But he did love his toys, so I guess I can understand it.
