Has anyone tried the V35 cases for the 1200? They are considerably cheaper ($660 vs. $1400), larger and can take a helmet (34 liters vs. 29 liters), and would look good in gloss black with the US models burgandy/red color. I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with them. I own a 6th gen and and considering a 7th gen, but the expense of the centerstand that should be standard and the bags that don't even hold a helmet are holding me back. Thanks and ride safe.

I have a handgrip ortlieb dry bag which has served me well for the last 10 years.
(Airport security once questioned me over whether it was an inflatable raft. No joke.)
At only a fraction of the price, I'm contemplating it as the solution.

My V35s won't take my helmet. If that's a dealbreaker, see if you can find someone with them and try your helmet in them.

Givi V35 sidecases holds my Nolan N37 quite adeqately. In addition to $ saving over OEM cases, I thought their lines fits the bike better with higher mounts than OEM giving it a more sporty look. The only downside I can think of is that the set up is likely weighting more than OEM with SW-Mortec brackets. I had the bike and the cases sprayed from factory red to Ducati white for $950CDN, loving how it came out. :biggrin:

I have installed the Kappa cases, that is almost identical to GIVI, only full black.
Very good cases, but they can't hold an integral helmet.

Wow! That is beautiful! I like the white a lot! My saddle bags on the '07 VFR easily swallow my helmet. It's a must now. The dealer gave me some pricing on options (centerstand, extended warranty, saddlebags......Givi!). He then informed me that Honda has discontinued the saddlebags for the VFR1200F! Amazing. This seems like the perfect bike for a 45 year old Daddy that wants an exceptional road/sport touring/performance bike with comfort and luxury! However, they dropped the ball on pricing and some of the basic amenities. Sad. Thanks again.
