I replaced my dry rotted road attacks with the PP/PR2 combo a couple days ago. So far I have put 200 miles on this combo with 120 of them 2 up and they are great. The feel of them is very confidence inspiring and very very nuetral. They soak up bumps very well and give a much better ride then the road attacks.
I did this because of Bailyrock's review and the reports of both tires wearing together. For those that ride 2 up alot I am wondering about the effects on wear.

PR2 tyres do not wear. They just lose interest after a year.

2 up riding will cause them to wear quicker, just like any tire. However, they still last quite long even with 2 up riding. I had nearly 10,000 miles on my PR2's when I took them off, there was still a little bit of life left in the rear, and almost 1/5 of it was with a passenger.

Yeah I love having the pilot power up front its very confidence inspiring especially having to make quick transitions 2 up in the mountains. The road attacks worked well with quick turn in but once leaned over a little they wanted to stand you up. Its weird because you needed a lot of bar input and setting up the corner on the road attacks. With this new combo I can just look and the bike holds its line telepathically. I have run 2 sets of road attacks on 2 bikes (R6,VFR) and enjoyed them but the feel of this combo is divine in comparison. Most of my riding is spent between commuting to school/errands and riding 2 up with my Fianc and father.

High increase on wear

They should be pulling the top one over for unsafe load.
