Gearwrenches on sale at Sears!!

Out of all the tools in my toolboxes, these wrenches are some of my favorites. A must-have for every bike wrencher in my opinion!

I already have a Husky/Home Depot set, but couldn't pass up getting another set to have doubles.

These GearWrench-brand wrenches are on sale at Sears starting today, until Saturday (12/12 - 12/18). While the ratcheting ends are a bit larger than my Husky set, it's due to a more robust ratchet. Also, the reversing levers on the GW set are easier to use. Includes sizes: 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18mm.

$5/ea is not too shabby at all! I have yet to break one of the Husky wrenches, and these look even tougher. They don't fall under the Sears lifetime warranty/replacement deal like the Craftsman stuff does. There is some kind of warranty, but honestly I didn't look at that yet... :blush:

I got some Blue Point double headed ratcheting wrenches off eBay and broke the 17 messing around with my shock install.

I have that exact set of wrenches and they are sweet. Totally usefull and I reach for one often. :fing02:

I have to agree w/ Seb here, these wrenches are some of the most useful tools in the box. To prolong their life don't use the gear wrench end to break bolts loose or to put the final torque on them. Flip em over and use the standard end for those tasks and they will last a long time.

I noticed that a set of the same in Craftsman costs about $100. Is there a difference?

Heres another reason I support Sears..


Sears is voluntarily paying the difference in salaries and maintaining all benefits, including medical insurance and bonus programs, for all called up reservist employees for up to two years.

The display said $39.99, but I didn't look closely. Perhaps the fine print said Craftsman Club price, but I used my card anyway.
I went to the Sears in Knoxville. Ironically it's the most convenient location for me despite living west of Atlanta!

By the way, if you want to save another $5 the non reversible ratcheting set is $34.99.

Right before the holiday and I bought a set of wrenches :lobby: I think I feel selfish.

Never mind :goofy: it was just gas.
