In the spirit of the holidays, (and in an effort to gain some much needed room), I am giving away the remains of my 86 VFR750F project.
This is mostly comprised of a clean titled frame, lower end of a motor(complete motor minus heads), head pipes, swingarm, and misc hardware and cooling system bits.
I would prefer to give this to someone who will either rebuild it, or use the parts to revive an otherwise unusable bike as opposed to a grubber who's going to sell the pieces for the sake of turning a quick buck.
Ultimately, I would love for the recipient to make a donation to this site - but this is the Pay It Forward forum, so, no strings attached.
Seb - I sent you some VFR800 clipons a while back for one of your projects...I'll take the VFR750 project on. I have a CBR1000RR front end that needs a goal!! A positive reply from you means I will start to arrange a trip next week.

No sweat - I know all about the limitations of that CBR fork; it formerly graced the front end of a 4th gen VFR I owned in the past. I'll work something out!
I'm occupied with students all day, so I'll start the planning for the trip and update towards the end of today.
(For the crowd, I'm thinking of the following goals as possibilities for the build: an original? a 6X replica? An RVF Replica? A modern V4 race replica?. We'll see)

I think I'd like another project and could pick it up anytime. Is there a pic somewhere? I'm not sure how much of a project I'm looking at!

Did you read my description? It's far from a complete bike. It's just what I wrote above, a frame, swingarm, fasteners, harness, and lower end of a motor. Some cooling system stuff. If it were "ready to assemble", I wouldn't be giving it away...

Did you read my description? It's far from a complete bike. It's just what I wrote above, a frame, swingarm, fasteners, harness, and lower end of a motor. Some cooling system stuff. If it were "ready to assemble", I wouldn't be giving it away...

Way too far for me but intriguing none the less. Did we determine the width of the frame rails that go around the rear head on this year frame? Still have that idea in the back of my head.

I don't remember now if we check the 86 frame. I know we checked the 96 frame and it wasn't going to work.
