Latest from BMW according to" Das Motorad magazine" german magazine: BMW has to call back 80000 bikes from K-models produced between year 2003 until 2010, the linkeage rear shock can brake, and they (BMW) has known this since November last year, knowing it could cause serious/fatal crashes!

its not like they tried to cover for a few years..its barely 2 months.
Oh my! Just wanted you to know. The mag I refer to is very much BMW sponsored, Watch it, do you know anyone riding the K-bike , tell them about it! :fing02:
They should recall all the beemers to fix the weird turn signal convention. I test rode an F800GS today, and did not like that about the bike. I'm supposed to cancel the signal with my throttle hand? That's the only real problem I had with the bike. Well, that and the vague, mushy front brakes.
Yup, started ordering recall parts a few days ago. I'm sure we'll see our fair share, as it seems to cover every transverse K-bike. Whee! Fortunately, it's a quick fix. Triumph had to do this on all the 1050 Sprints a few years ago.

Bad part is when you want to find the horn, but keep hitting the left turn signal instead... :(
