So I like to bid on junk. This engine has everything, carbs, pipes, electric, battery...all thats in pics.
It says its a 400cc but I think its a 1982 450 nighthawk or 82 cb450 ...I need to pickup and check it out, maybe its an auto from a hawk CM450A?
The cable going into R side is strange. An auto is fine by me. I am going to build my own version of a BIG RUCKUS scooter.
I like the black engine and condition really looks mint.
Would you give a $100 to put this on your coffee table?
Help me find out more. http://cgi.ebay.com/...e=STRK:MEWNX:IT

I am going to build my own version of a BIG RUCKUS scooter.---Very interesting, keep us posted.
Looks just like the Brown Hornet's motor. That one is an '80 CB400T Hawk. It is factory painted so it is prolly a later CB or CM, but definately run the number if you can because there is a "Reduced Output" engine that was offered by the factory for certain markets and it has only half the HP. thanks Timmy, Is it OK that my engine is BLACK?
I couldn't find a pic of a 400 w/black engine so why I am thinking 450.
It will be stamped right on it, but I like the guessing game also.
Here is a 1982 CB450T hawk......damn...thats a nice looking bike, black pipes and black valve cover, that is sweet.
Note the pipes are the same as in ebay listing, I think this is it, dunno. [image: Posted Image]
